Is This the End of the Balloon & Wine Festival?
One of Temecula’s most beloved traditions may be grounded for good.
Riverside County supervisors are deciding this week whether to terminate the contract with the current organizers of the Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival — a move that would end any chance of the event returning to Temecula Valley in 2026.
The festival website and social media have been quiet, and there have been no announcements about a 2026 event. For a festival that’s been drawing up to 30,000 people to the valley every summer since 1983, the silence is hard to ignore.
If the board votes to terminate, the contract with Events.com will formally end on April 30.
